Charlotte Allen details the history of the Jena 6 case and the relative silence about outcome as the truth was revealed: The Jena Six were supposed to be the new Scottsboro Boys, the nine black youths railroaded to death sentences by all-white juries in 1930s Alabama on charges of raping two white women. But the best known of the Jena Six, Mychal Bell, appeared with his team of lawyers at the parish courthouse in this tiny Central Louisiana town of 3,000 on December 3 and pled guilty to second-degree battery, to intentionally inflicting serious bodily injury on another person. In doing so, Bellwho will turn 18 this month and who had repeatedly denied any involvement in the attackadmitted that on December 4, 2006, he hit 17-year-old Justin Barker from behind, slamming Barkers head against a concrete beam outside the dennis kucinich wife at Jena High School and knocking him unconscious, and that he then joined a group in stomping and kicking Barker in the head. Bell agreed to serve 18 months in juvenile custody for the offense and to testify truthfully concerning the involvement of the other five members of the Jena Six should their cases come to trial. |

For all you ladybug collectors, heres a new way to appreciate your favorite little insect. Researchers analyzing the chemical composition of odors have discovered the chemical Harmonia axyridis in wine. This bad-smelling liquid produced by ladybugs has been tainting the taste of wines. This is now being called ladybug taint. The ladybugs release this smelly chemical as a defense mechanism, but unfortunately, the human nose is sensitive to even small amounts of it. Ladybugs, the well-known friend of gardeners, have been rapidly increasing in population in the Midwest as aphid populations expand. As a result, vintners are reporting that more and more of these insects are getting caught in the harvesting process by accident. As increasing quantities of wine is affected, more consumers are drinking this ladybug wine. While wine has been shown to have many health benefits including reducing the risk for cardiovascular disease, this new twist makes it a little less appealing. But for all you ladybug lovers who would prefer just to decorate with these cute bugs, we have a beautiful selection of gifts and decor the Kyle Design Ladybug Gifts page. Youll find the fun Ladybug Christmas Ornament shown above as well as business card holders, magnets, night lights and more. Enzymes are biological catalysts responsible for supporting almost all of the chemical reactions that maintain animal homeostasis. Because of their role in maintaining life processes, the assay and digestive enzymes regulation of enzymes have become key elements in clinical diagnosis and therapeutics. The macromolecular components of almost all enzymes are composed of protein, except for a class of RNA modifying catalysts known as ribozymes. Ribozymes are molecules of ribonucleic acid that catalyze reactions on the phosphodiester bond of other RNAs. Enzymes are found in all tissues and fluids of the body. Intracellular enzymes catalyze the reactions of metabolic pathways. Plasma membrane enzymes regulate catalysis within cells in response to extracellular signals, and enzymes of the circulatory system are responsible for regulating the clotting of blood. Almost every significant life process is dependent on enzyme activity. |
Ive been away way too long. Sorry about that guys. Here what Ive been up to: So lets take it from the top. After my dad got sick my workout schedule took a dc traffic Instead of going straight to the gym from work, I would go to the hospital to see him. Two weeks off is enough to kill any routine I have established. I am not a creature of habit. It takes time for me to develop a routine. I have to be very intentional about it for it to take hold. If I get off dc traffic its hard for me to get back on track. Now, I enjoy weight lifting and jogging when its nice outside. I like the way they dc traffic me feel but I wouldnt exactly say that I love it. It feels like work. It feels like something extra that I need to do to be healthy, but not like something I love to do that just happens to be a healthy part of my life. So I decided that I need to find a way to get exercise in a way that is less of something else on my to do list and more something on my I cant wait to do list hence, bellydancing, samba, yoga, salsa and hand dancing. And would you believe that I found a place where I can do them all at the same place? I know!!! Me either!!! So, Im thrilled about my little home-away-from home studio. Its a place that teaches a holistic, naturopathic approach to caring for oneself. It teaches the ancient healing benefits of the different dances and disciplines and encourages a healthy, whole foods lifestyle. Its a place where one can pursue the mind, body, spirit connection with like-minded people who are, by the way, working out and having a good time. Yay!!! I spend lots of time there and get really annoyed when I have to work late and miss my classes. Which brings me to the next thing Ive been up to. Work. One morning at about 3am, while sitting on my couch still working, I realized that at some point I lost my boundary concerning home and work. I have notoriously managed this boundary very well. If I need to stay a little later dc traffic get in a little earlier to get things done, Ill do that, but home is supposed to be my sacred space. No work here!! I lost sight of that recently and I need to find my way back to prioritizing my life appropriately. The thing is I enjoy my job and dont mind doing the things I was working on, I just need to keep it out of my sacred space. Ill figure it out in the dc traffic weeks&with help. Ill tell you about that soon. Chiropractic. I never dc traffic thought of my chiropractor and massage therapist as holistic healers until this weekend. I noticed that western medicine isnt big on referring people to chiropractors or massage therapists. They rather send you to physical therapy. dc traffic concluded that taking care of my body is more than considering it in isolation from the rest of me and therefore I choose to exhaust alternative medicine before I turn to my physician. Ive been having crazy neck and shoulder pain. I know its stress and the position of my monitor and spending too much time working and using my laptop on my couch and all this other dumb dc traffic Im doing to myself. But I needed it fixed. I had options. I went to my massage therapist first. 90 minutes of pure ecstasy, I tell you. I could have married that woman! I felt like she worked out a lot of the tension, but quickly realized that I was just out of alignment. Off to the chiropractor and when I tell you I almost kissed that man when he hammered my little neck vertebrae back where they belong I am not kidding you. dont know how long I was out of alignment, but my weekend was so much better having had things put back where they belong. I still have major neck problems that will take 3 months of aggressive treatment to fix, Im good for now. Unfortunately, my freaking commute to work makes it almost impossible for me to take the time I need to go get fixed. My work and chiropractors hours are not compatible and my chiropractor is about 20 miles from work (which in DC traffic time means 1 hour away). Even when I tried to schedule appointments this week I had to cancel because of last dc traffic meetings. Ive got to figure this out. Dont fuss at me. Ill get it together. My whole foods lifestyle. Trader Joes has finally moved to my neighborhood!!! My local organic market is as expensive as, if not more expensive than, Whole Foods. dc traffic so dc traffic to see TJs open up just up the road. I could stop by the TJs close to my old job on the way home from work, but now I dont come near the place. I bought groceries this weekend and got double the stuff I can get at my local organic spot for half the price. I cant get everything I need at TJs, but Im saving money so that I can finance my dance habit. Good stuff!! I have had some ups and downs with trying to eat well. I still havent touched fast food or meat in 5 months, but football season has had me jonesing hard for chips and dip and beer on Sunday afternoons at 1pm. Id make a meal of it, I tell you. Im over it though. I think. And last but not least, Katrice and have moved to Texas. I was such a wuss that I left a note on their car to say goodbye. I couldnt bear doing it face to face. Well, they showed me. They conveniently didnt leave while I was at work that day. I got home from work just in to watch them pack the things in the car and drive away&.all the way across the country. I still look dc traffic their cars when I come home from work. It sucks. BUT, Im going to see them December 6-9, for the 1st Annual Corny Convention in Dallas. wait. I miss them already. And, since this post isnt as long as I thought it would be , Ill tell you about figuring things out in the coming weeks with help. My new theme for self is, when I know better, I do better. I am learning a lot about other cultures, spiritual disciplines and ways of life through my quest to re-evaluate my belief system. In the process I have learned a lot of things that make more sense to dc traffic and feel more right for me than the norms of the culture to which I was born. I came across this passage in a book I am reading. It says it best: We are all subjectsand victimsof our time and our perspective in history. Truth, or our perception of it, is a function of our limited, culture-bound understanding and is often as fluid as a change in custom&The best we can hope to do is rise above our culture as much as possible to see our biases, challenge them, and willingly allow our view of the world to shatter as our biases knuckle under the blows of scrutiny. This is what this blog has dc traffic been about. I am re-thinking everything at once. It is so exciting and fun. I feel free of the guilt that came with shaking off the norms of the Christian community that guided my life for so long and now I feel like I can judge each new idea on its own merits. It has taken some time for the Christian voice in my heard to quiet so that I can think through some of these new ideas. But Im far enough away from that voice now that I can evaluate new things for what they are and not what Christians say they are. Does that make sense? It makes dc traffic sense to me. I may need to rework that sentence when I edit. Anyway, Ive hired a holistic health consultant to help me articulate my goals for this journey, create a plan to meet those goals and to teach me more about my body and the foods, drinks, etc. that are best for my optimal health (mind, body and spirit). It should be fun. I start on the 13th. Ill let you know how it goes. I might be writing about all of dc traffic more on Fine Tuning, but who knows. The more I see the connections between mind, body and spirit, the less dc traffic a need for 3 blogs. Im realizing that I cant separate these things as neatly as I once thought. Im considering a merge. Who knows? Well see. Maybe Ill just feed content between the blogs when its relevant. So thats what Ive been up to. Ill be catching up with you guys soon. Any thoughts on any of this stuff? What do you think about that quote? |

Gil Trenum (R) Desi Arnaiz (I) Milt Johns is currently Brentsville Districts School Board member. To run for Chairman of the School Board, Johns relinquished the Brentsville position. That left an open seat and prince william county schools and Arnaiz competing for the empty seat. Although there relatively little information about this race in the newspaper, it is quite important. The Prince William County prince william county schools Board appoints our school officials and controls a budget of over one billion dollars to educate 70,000 students. Amazingly, however, we pay School Board members only about a thousand dollars a month. How we get good people to volunteer for this difficult job, I can only guess, but somehow we do fortunately. WUSA9.com provides a brief description of both candidates on its website (here). The primary issue is Prince William County schools is overcrowding (here). Both candidates emphasize maintaining education quality. Arnaiz specifically addresses the issue of ESL students, a growing issue, on his website. Nonetheless, Arnaiz does not promote illegal immigration (see his comment here). Gil Trenum is a relative newcomer (only ten years), but he and his wife, Michelle, have taken an active interest in local affairs. Thus Trenum has earned the endorsement of the Republican Party (here) and one of our local newspapers (here). Trenum has a solid technical education, a good military background, and a record of local community involvement. His Nokesville neighbors know him, and prince william county schools have provided him an excellent springboard into the School Board race. Desi Arnaiz (I) Desi Arnaiz is a local business owner, a retired senior military officer, and long-time respected member of the PWC GOP. At first glance, Arnaizs distinguished record and greater experience would suggest that he is the best choice for School Board. Arnaiz actually started running for the School Board first, and he quickly got the endorsement of most local Republican officeholders. However, rank and file party members chose to william county schools Trenum. Since then, Trenum has receive the endorsement of most local Republican Officeholders (here). Exactly why PWC GOP members chose to endorse Trenum instead of Arnaiz I can only guess. I expect the fact Trenum has children in the school system, and his children represent both him and his lady well, probably explains the choice. After competed for the PWC GOPs endorsement and Trenum received it, Arnaiz should have dropped out of the race. As a condition for competing for the endorsement, Arnaiz had agreed to drop out if the PWC GOP chose to endorse someone Unfortunately, Arnaiz reneged on his promise (details here). Vote for Gil Trenum. |
Sad news this morning. The 25 year old actor Brad Renfro was found dead at his home yesterday morning. He made his film debut in an adaptation of John Grishams The Client in 1994, and then went on to act in films such brad renfro Sleepers, Bully and Ghostworld. He had just wrapped a film with Billy Bob Thornton and Winona Ryder - The Informers. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans. |
I recently did an analysis of the search terms people used in 2007 to reach my blog. You may not care, but I thought some might find it interesting in marketing their own blog. Heres the list: |
its here! the new apple laptop.. the macbook air. at less than an inch thick, its sleek design is pretty drool worthy. it has a super slim battery and an intel core 2 duo processor. you can take and use it anywhere! although my ibook is already pretty small, it adds an excessive amount of weight to my backpack when i take it to school. it would be nice to switch to this new, lighter version — its only 3 pounds! when it comes to the actual operating systems, i dont have much of a preference between macs and pcs. i probably lean more towards the pc side because its what i grew up on and im so used to using them.. and some of my favorite sites only work with windows. however, if apple keeps coming out with fresh new products as they have in the recent years, theyre probably going to fully pull me over to new apple laptop camp check out all the specs on the macbook air. |
Ya, I watched it on Astro last night. But I have a confession to make – I am not a big Sidol” of American Idol or local version, Malaysian Idol. I never watched the finals or spend sleepless nights wondering who get picked up for the next round. It is simply a waste of time – because whoever in the finals, are those who can really sing. Otherwise, they would not have passed through Simon’s endorsement, right? However, the preliminary round is a whole different story. The preliminary rounds are where the real fun is seen. Countless of people who can’t sing and can’t dress well, pick up the courage to go on national TV and make a fool of themselves. Sometimes, it gets worse – they even challenge the judges on the decision to strike them off even though the singing was as bad as it can be. As Simon said last night to a contestant – SYou look like the thing that came out from the swamp”. Hoo - that must have hurt. It must been very tiring on the judges to go through the process but it is fun. There are indeed good ones like the brother and sister (whom the father is from India) or the guy who had failed to pass in the past 2 auditions – they rock! But the key entertainment still comes from the bloopers that most make – either they sing miserably or dress miserably. Some looked loss whilst for others, nervousness gets better of them. american idol judges this is not helped by the fact that Simon can be american idol judges nasty whilst the other judges are laughing away - sometimes the laughter is non-stop. For some, this is entertainment but for the rest, it is a wake up call. Perhaps friends and family may have liked them singing american idol judges when it comes to the American Idol judges, there is nothing but quality and to extent, picking the right song. For those watched Malaysian Idol couple years ago, I am sure that you would have remembered the SMichael Jackson” who danced more than he could sing (Paul Moss sure had some nasty remarks in the end):- Of course, in the end, Jaclyn Victor became the first Malaysian Idol and set in the trend in years to come. For detail analysis of american idol judges contestants in Season 6 of the American Idol, read the post by Brigittes Realm and Megs Mind Del.icio.us Tag: TV |

On December 20th, Dick Morris wrote that michigan primary was going to be the make-or-break state in this election process and that Michigan would be the state to determine the two candidates left standing for super-tuesday. Heres part of his commentary from just before Christmas: The Jan. 15 Michigan primary is now looking like the big Selimination round” in the 08 GOP contest - the contest that could bring us down to the final two contenders. In the semi-finals, to be held in Iowa and New Hampshire, Mitt Romney will face Mike Huckabee to see who’s tops among the party’s right, while Rudy Giuliani battles John McCain for the more moderate slot. Huckabee and Romney are likely headed for a split decision, with the former winning Iowa (where he now leads 34 percent to 23 percent) michigan primary the later winning New Hampshire (where he now leads, 32-11). On the centrist court, Rudy has a slender lead over McCain michigan primary Iowa (10-6). But the Des Moines Register endorsement the Arizona senator could pare Giuliani’s slim support base. In New Hampshire, McCain holds a tight 19-17 lead over Giuliani as they battle for second place. Fred Thompson and the other wannabes will likely drop out after Iowa or New Hampshire (except, of course, michigan primary crazy Ron Paul, who will never give up the ghost). Then, it will all come down to the third state to vote - the Michigan primary, a week after New Hampshire. Huckabee will enter Michigan seeking to recapture the momentum he’ll have gained after Iowa and michigan primary in New Hampshire. He’ll be facing a rap that he could only win in a small farm state like his own after he campaigned there nonstop for months, almost never going home. If he loses Michigan, he’ll be gone. Romney will try to prove that his New Hampshire victory wasn’t simply a favorite-son triumph. With two-thirds of New Hampshire watching Boston TV, the win there by the former Massachusetts governor in the first primary will be suspect. The ghost of Paul Tsongas, the Bay State senator who won New Hampshire in 1992, then faded, may haunt Romney’s campaign. He’ll will labor under the rap that he can’t win road games. (read the rest of this article HERE). I hope that Mr. Morris will do a re-write regarding Michigan since Gov. Romney did not win either or New Hampshire. I do think that Michigan is going to be very, very important in this process for the republicans. |

At long last I made the switch from being a Windows user to one those nose-in-the-air snobs who carry those beautiful laptops with apple on the backside. The reasons for the switch were simple enough. I gave up my old laptop somewhere in the recent chaos and had to get a new one. Most of my options involved running Vista and it basically boiled down to the new Dell XPS M1330 and the Macbook or the Macbook Pro. While the XPS was an incredibly amazing deal at its current prices of Rs 64,000, even with the graphics card slapped on, the nagging question was that of having to run Vista. Now, I am not a rabid anti-Windows person or a great Linux fanboy. I live by the quintessential horses for courses adage and have run almost everything (with the exception of the Mac, other than a stint during the journalism school days), including variants of Windows from the 3.x days, DOS, Netware, Linux, BSD, AIX etc, during my time. In my daily dalliance with computers over the past four years, Windows XP has dominated every part of it (other than the servers) and I have a pretty intimate knowledge of Windows XP by now. That said, keep XP clean of attacks, viruses and various infections is a dark art and a game of cat and mouse that never ends. The question thus (with a Rs 30,000 mark up on it) was if I wanted to spend my time on yet another learning curve wrangling Vista to behave to my liking. From what I have seen of VIsta, it is a major upgrade that will require me to relearn jumping through the myriad hoops involved in learning any Microsoft OS. On the other hand, I very comfortable with the command line, though for using a desktop it is not my ideal choice on any given day. Thank you, but I shall keep my point-and-click sensibilities with me any day. And you know by now, the lure of the shiny Apple won. In terms of a regular desktop experience, Apple and OSX has been a delight. I will not reiterate whats been said many times before: that things just work on the damn thing. A network printer that normally takes me about 15 clicks to add on XP took just three clicks on OSX. It looks and behaves like one of those stunning supermodels - what you get to see is more or as equally tantalizing as what is being very thinly hidden from your eyes. On the other hand, most of the trouble Ive had are with my development platform. More on that later. My current desktop stack includes Adium (instant messaging), Firefox (2.0.0.11, not the 3.x beta), Freemind (mindmapping), Fugu (SFTP), SVNX (Subversion client), VMWare Fusion (for Microsoft Office and Outlook, I know, sigh) Ecto (blogging, oh yes!) and Leopard Java issues, I presume), VMWare Fusion is absolutely awesome, though Outlook is patchy. In short, it has been pretty nice to me till date. Incidentally, I run only Microsoft Office under VMWare Fusion. Initially, I had dedicated a whole 700 MB of RAM to the VM, then chopped it to 512 MB and now it is running at a healthy 256 MB. In the long run, I do intend to see how Office for Mac 2008 holds up and move to it. Irrespective of whatever RAM I end up giving to Fusion, when it does run, I get less than 200 MB of RAM to spare. I do not know if it is any better if you run it as a real VM than a Bootcamp version, but this is only a stopgap arrangement. Things have been different though on the developer side. I am one of those people who love to compile my development stack from source and YUM on Centos has throughly spoiled me on that count. The shortest compile instructions that Ive seen for any OSX software runs into several screenfuls and there seems to be no sane way to get the dependency libraries in place (nobody has a straight answer whether FInk or Macports is the better option). OSX Leopard itself runs with Apache 2.2.x and PHP 5, but it does not have the Postgresql module complied in and I have not been able to get the Entropy distribution to start up with PHP enabled for some bizarre reason that Ive not had the time to figure out yet. I grabbed the Postgresql binary from Entropy and MYSQL server from, well, MYSQL.com. My other dependency, on Eclipse PDT, has currently hit a wall with PHP situation and I have not taken a look yet at what major hara-kiri it would take for me to get it running with Xdebug on OSX. So the jury is still out on that one. In conclusion I am happy that I made the switch. In terms of both hardware and software Apple and OSX is an elegant combination. I have no idea how much pain the development set up would give me, but macbook in the worst case scenario I could run a server install in a VMware Fusion session and forget all about it. But the most important point is that the Mac has allowed me to take my time off from maintaining my desktop environment and till worms and viruses are a commonplace occurrence I think that should hold. far as Vista goes, Ive helped a couple of my lads in my team with it and I want to stay as far away from it as possible. |

Stonewall Jackson had great hopes the crisis leading to the war could be averted if Christians, people of the Land, would unite in prayer. SShould the step be taken which is now threatened [by the general government], we shall have no other alternative: we must fight. But do not think that all Christian people of the land could be induced to unite in prayer, to avert so great an evil? It seems to me that if they would unite in prayer, war might be prevented and peace preserved.” Jackson believed God to be in juice williams of the affiars of man, stonewall jackson of the contigency of war; thus he had great confidence that is war were to come God would permit it for the good of His children. SWhy should Christians be disturbed about stonewall jackson dissolution of the Union? It can not come only by God’s permission, and nfl playoff schedule only be permitted if for His people’s good; for does He not say, SAll things wortk together for good stonewall jackson them that besttargetmore.blogspot.com God?” I cannot see how we should be distressed about such things. whatever be their consequences.” - Spoken in 1860 by Jackson. Jackson’s faith in God and belief in knowing that his very life was in His hands provided him great confidence and peace even in the middle of battle. It is believed that Jackson spoke these words to Captain John Imbolden on July 24, 1861, after the First Battle stonewall jackson Bull Run. SCaptain, my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. Captain, that is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave.” Jackson handled the thought of promotion, or death, equally, as coming from the good hand of God. He wrote the following to his wife Anna. SI am very thankfull to God who withholds no good thing from me (though) I am so utteryly unworthy and ungrateful for making me a Major General.” In the same we that he considerd his own life as an instrument fit for use by the living God, Jackson esteemed the army he led to be such an instrument as well. SOur gallant little army is increasing in numbers, and my prayer is that it may be an army of the living God as well of its country.” Jackson was stonewall jackson aware of the need for what he considered Divine blessing or favor, no stonewall jackson the circumstances. SUnder Divine blessing we must rely upon the bayonet when firearms cannot be furnished.” The following letter to his wife shows just how devoted Jackson was to making all efforts to keep the Sabbath holy by not fighting on it. SYou appear much concerned at my attacking on Sunday, I was greatly concerned too; but I felt it my duty to do it, in consideration of the ruinous effects that might result from postponing the battle until morning. So far as I can see, my course was a wise one; the best that I stonewall jackson do under the cicumstances; though very distatseful to my feelings; and I hope and pray to our Heavenly Father that I may never again be circumstanced as on that day.” Jackson’s dedication to honor and duty is evidenced here. A major had asked for an extension of his furlough to attend to an illness of a family illness, after having already received the furlough originally because stonewall jackson a family death. SFrom me you have a friends sympathy, and I wish the suffering conditions of our country permitted me to show it. But we must think of the living and of those who are to come after us, and see that, with God’s blessing, we transmit to them the freedom we have enjoyed. What is life without honor? Degradation is worse than death. It is necessary that you should be at your post immediately. Join me tomorrow morning.” The Battle of Second Manassas stonewall jackson Run II) was a hard fought battle and Confederate victory. Jackson knew whom to give credit to for that victory. His doctor, Hunter McQuire, told him stonewall jackson the day had been won due to hard fighting; to which Jackson replied: SNo sir, stonewall jackson have won this day by the blessing of Almighty God.” SGod has been very kind to us this day.” SGeneral Lee is very kind; but he should give the glory to God!” Jackson understood the irony between war and beauty, both of which he felt ordained by God in their own way. SBut what a cruel thing is war; to separate and destroy families and friends, and mar the purest joys and happiness God has granted us in this world; to fill our hearts with hatred instead of love for our neighbors, and to devastate the fair face of this beautiful world.” He continued in his letter to Anna, SI pray that, on this day when only peace and goodwill are preached to mankind, better thoughts may fill the hearts of our enemies and turn them to peace.” Whether experiecing victory in battle or suffering from being wounded in one, Jackson knew all the same to whom to give the credit to. SI consider these wounds a blessing; they were given me for some good and wise purpose, and I would not part with stonewall jackson if I could.” Later that same week, just days before he died, he had this conversation with his aide-de-camp James Power Smith: SMany would regard them [his injuries] stonewall jackson a great misfortune. I regrad them as one of the blessings of my life.” Smith replied by quoting one of Jackson’s favorite Scriptures, SAll things work together for good to them that love God.” SYes!” Jackson responded. SThat’s it! That’s it!” Jackson saw himself, or others, merely as von trapp family of God’s own choosing to accomplish His will. SThe manner in which the press, the army, and the people seem to lean upn certain persons is positively frightful. They are forgetting God in the instruments he has chosen. It fills me with alarm.” Jackson’s view of duty allowed him to leave the consequences to God, no matter what they were. SDuty is ours; consequences are Gods.” Robertson [1997: 740] cites these words spoken by Jackson to his chaplain (Lacy) stonewall jackson his feelings to his own wounding on May 2nd, 1863: SYou find me severly wounded, but not unhappy or depressed. I believe that it has been done according to the will of God, and I acquiesce entire in His holy will. It may seem strange, but you never saw me more perfectly contented than I am today, for I dick clark sure that my Heavenly Father designs this affliction for my good.” |

i was almost run over by a truck this morning. walking my bike along king in the middle of the street i encountered a friend. but he was not just any friend, he was the one the girls often refer to as dreamy jack. the celestine prophecy is so dreamy in fact that i didnt even notice the giant tractor trailer that was inching its way towards me as it tried to make its way to bathurst street. wonderful. we said our quick goodbye and went our separate ways. but it got me thinking about chance encounters. what are the odds, living in a city of millions, that i would run into this same person, twice in a span of a few weeks. and not just jack, but how about the countless other similar encounters? the logical side of me thinks that i just simply sling media slingbox av enough friends that live in a small area of the city and we are all either walking or on bikes so the likelihood is quite high. but then there is that new agey, yoga side of me that looks for reason. purpose. meaning. in everything. that the odds themselves are quite low because unless you yourself are on some sort of routine or schedule that is the control by which you test other circumstances against, the randomness is far too high. its the kind of search for meaning ingrained in me from reading crap books like the celestine prophecy at too ripe an age. yet. without this belief, things that dont make sense are pure torture. but the celestine prophecy believing that all people come into your life to teach you something, and that chance encounters are anything but that, you can start to smile again. because everything just seems to be taken care of, and your job is to just go with the flow. and perhaps, in the end, to learn not get too hung up on the dreamy jacks in your life. © |

From the weird phrases listed on item tooltips to the comments a boss has while killing or being killed, World of Warcraft certainly has flavour. The Brotherhood shall prevail! yells Edwin VanCleef from his ship in the Deadmines as hes down to less than a quarter of his health. They might indeed prevail Mr. VanCleef, but it wont be with you; in the words of the very preachy Maiden of Virtue, Death comes. Will your conscience be clear?. I guess the reward for my head RhahkZor was looking for earlier in the instance wouldnt have been paid anyway - VanCleef [wont] pay big for [our] heads!. In the time it takes to do a level appropriate run wow patch notes all four wings of the Scarlet Monestary, I truly start to believe that the rest of my party carry the taint of the scourge & and heaven forbid any of us are declared Unworthy so you think you can drive mel Scarlet Commander Mograine. Dorys Embrace is approximately priceless according to its flavour text since its price is exactly 60 Badge of Justice. All of us would Keep off your Blue Suede Shoes if you got lucky in Mount Hyjal, but doesnt it seem odd that The 1 Ring is not quite as good as the 2 Ring? It does to me. Karazhan is no different. During the Big Bad Wolf event, Little Red Riding Hood asks her Grandmother What phat lewts you have grandmother? As Grandmother turns into Big Bad Wolf she yells All the better to own you with!. I think it would have been a wow patch notes play, if they didnt try to kill us. Even if Nigiri didnt have dailies to do in the Blades Edge Mountains, she would hang out in the Shatari Skyguard area. Nothing strokes her ego like the constant praise heaped on her by the various Skyguard members there. I hear that Nigiri has never been shot down. Although she has been shot down, its nice to hear it. Being exalted gives more than just physical rewards. SWe dont go do stupid things when somebody yells For the Horde!!’.” says anna faris href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrall_(Warcraft)">Warchief Thrall. I beg to differ. |
